Award-Winning Books for Kids

December 31st, 2008 by Judy F

Texas has its Bluebonnets, but there’s the Caldecott Medal, the Newbery Award, and the Coretta Scott King Award that each year add to the list of books that you may trust to provide good reading experiences for your children. You may search for the award-winning books that are in the library’s collection by using the name of the award as a keyword search. For example, In the catalog, choose “More Search Options” and then type in “Caldecott Medal.” Then, after the list comes up, if you click on the word “Added” at the top of the right-hand column, the list will re-sort with the most recent books at the top of the list.
