Summer Programs 2009 — Week 3

June 25th, 2009 by Judy F
  • On Tuesday Doodlebug made the younger kids laugh and members of the audience got into the act.
  • That afternoon Mrs. Huba put on her chef’s hat and taught a large group of Tweens the basics of decorating cakes.
  • On Wednesday Schave and Reilly were silly but turned out to be great jugglers.
  • Thursday Mrs. Huba returned to do another storytime session in the morning. Ms. Boutwell also came and made balloon toys for the kids. Somehow the kids found time to see how many could pile into the Jeep at once.
  • Thursday afternoon Mrs. Huba resumed the cake decorating class. Many beautifully decorated cakes resulted from the kids’ hard work!
  • And on Friday Angela Plunkett and her daughters gave the Tweens a beginning sewing lesson. Concentration and learning new skills were the order of the afternoon, but everyone had lots of fun, too.
